Meeting the data management challenges for CAMHS transformation
The improving mental health outcomes for children and young people conference at The King’s Fund last week gave commissioners and providers the latest updates from ministers, NHS England and young people on the transformation of CAMHS.
Speakers at the conference recognised the energy and effort generated around the development of Local Transformation Plans and the need to keep momentum at a local level. NHS England reiterated that data and good IT systems were key to delivery, with CAMHS needing effective systems to send data to the centre and to collect information in the room with young people.
iaptus CYP has been designed with exactly that in mind. The system is designed with your patient pathway and outcome measures at its heart, and enables therapists to collect data and track progress within a patient’s therapy session as part of their treatment. It also supports services in collecting and reporting on your KPIs and on the new Minimum Data Set (MDS), which is sent easily and securely back to the HSCIC.
The system will work in tandem with your service and will:
✔ Comply with the new MDS, mapping service data to the relevant CAMHS fields
✔ Capture data for routine reporting at local and national levels
✔ Support collection of information with young people in treatment sessions
✔ Assist clinicians to set goals, track progress and outcomes
With years of experience in data management, we can assist with your Local Transformation Plan needs around improved IT infrastructure, provide information to help cost your plans, and ensure that you’re able to implement them in your service.
