User conference: Better value via quality improvement

by Becky - 13th May 2016

In this challenging  environment, it’s critical that NHS services are able to work as efficiently as possible and to provide the best value for patients.

At this year’s iaptus user conference, we’ll hear from Emma Adams, Head of Quality Academy and GenerationQ Fellow with the Health Foundation. Emma has worked for 24 years as a general manager in various health and social environments for the NHS, at both commissioner and provider level. She has a keen interest in supporting and coaching staff to use quality improvement methods in their work, and helps clinical teams to design new pathways that improve the patient experience and drive clinical effectiveness and safety.

Emma’s session will consider how quality improvement approaches can help services to understand and improve their performance. Using data collected with iaptus, she will examine possible areas of inefficiency and look for opportunities for streamlining activity as well as methods for improving overall service delivery.

Emma will also introduce the concept of “lean principles” and share some simple tools that can be used by services to create sustainable change.

The full agenda will be released soon, but in the meantime, if you haven’t yet registered for the user conference, please do so. Spaces are filling up fast. Book your place here.
