iaptus is trusted to store two thirds of all Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) referrals, and at the last count had approximately 40,000 users.
More than eight million patients are registered on iaptus. One million of those patients were referred in the last year, with six million sessions logged on iaptus in the same period.
We are committed to helping our users get the most from iaptus.
Of users who responded to our survey, 99% who received customer support said they were satisfied or very satisfied.
We strongly believe that our customers should have a say in how the system is developed. We created iaptus innovations, our community forum to enable users to share feedback and ideas for improvements and new features.

Moving systems was initially quite daunting for us as a service as we had been using another patient management system for approximately 8 years. However, the support that Mayden have provided us over the last year has been excellent (through training and support logs). We have been able to make changes and tweaks to our iaptus system to ensure it fits our service and meets our reporting requirements. Submission to the NHS MHSDS using iaptus is much more efficient and we have been promoting iaptus with other organisations in our area!
iaptus has been able to grow with us as we’ve expanded. Soon, our whole service will be on iaptus, with no external spreadsheets or paper in the background. We’re hoping to continue to grow but to do so our data has to be perfect and we have to prove our outcome measures to win funding. iaptus is helping us to track and prove our outcomes for every single project, so we’re hoping to be able to put forward even more bids, get even more funding in the future and ultimately help even more young people.
iaptus CYP helps our services to be more efficient and provide high quality, consistent care. As a digital care record system, it offers us exactly what we need to ensure a time-efficient and streamlined workflow iaptus CYP has been significant for us in terms of efficiency, overseeing therapists’ case loads and managing clinical risk. We can use the risk rating system within iaptus CYP, to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people.
An important element has been the link developed between Mayden and Silvercloud which means we can reflect on all of our data from the anxiety programmes. The two systems communicate with each other so all of that data gets pulled through (to iaptus CYP for us to view.)
iaptus CYP allows therapists and staff to visualise their impact and the change that’s going on for the young people in their care. But also being able to identify where things perhaps haven’t gone so well, noticing where there have been a number of DNAs for example and using that simple ‘reporting backwards’ which we’ve just not been able to do before, has made a huge difference in our ability to reflect, learn and become more efficient. For us that’s something that’s really important, in terms wanting to grow the reach and the impact of our work with those young people which iaptus CYP is helping us get a step closer to.
The diary function in iaptus has been amazing for us, it was just what we needed. For me, one of the best things about iaptus is the ability to capture all the different functions of the Mental Health Support Team (MHST), not only the one-to-one and group work but also that Whole School and College Approach.
For the first time we’re offering an online self referral so that young people and their families can complete a form on our website rather than seeing a GP or other professional. Data from the form is automatically added to iaptus CYP ready for review. We’ve also started using the NHS number lookup feature which allows us to search and pull patient details into iaptus CYP from the NHS Spine.
At Young Somerset, we use iaptus CYP in our Mental Health Support Team delivery with young people. It’s really important for our practitioners to be able to show young people their scores each week using iaptus CYP and to be able to evidence the changes that are happening in the therapeutic work between them. Crucially, we also use iaptus CYP to evidence to our commissioners the great work that’s going on with young people and to fulfil reporting requirements for our NHS commissioned service.
We’ve found that iaptus CYP is really user friendly. It helps our practitioners to manage their cases and keep notes from their sessions with young people. They can easily record all the data that we need in the service to be able to see how our interventions are working and also to evidence our impact to our NHS commissioners and funders.
Your system has transformed our service
I don’t think we say this enough, but iaptus CYP has truly made a positive impact on our service and we're thankful for Mayden's support.
iaptus CYP gave us the flexibility to create our own care pathway for our MHST. Even now, two years on, our care pathway is growing and developing

iaptus CYP supports our teams to work across community locations, giving them live access to data and visibility of referrals and activity. It’s an integrated system that collects and reports against the national dataset. We’ve been doing shadow reporting until recently, now we’re reporting fully on the MHSDS.
iaptus CYP system has really helped us to be much more efficient in our data collection - our staff are taking less time inputting data and more time with the young people that they work with. iaptus CYP has given us the ability to run reports, which we never have before. This is enabling us to understand the type of things that are working well and the type of individual we are seeing. Iaptus CYP gives us the ability to really drill down into who they are, how we’re supporting them and what difference we’re making in their lives.
We wanted to give extra special thanks to Mayden as their team has been really supportive of our drive to become both more effective and efficient in the services we provide to young people. The iaptus CYP system is already having a transformative effect on the way we support young people in the Bath and North East Somerset area.
iaptus has enabled us to be more efficient, reduce duplication, made records easier to locate and given us more powerful reporting tools. The team at Mayden have been excellent in how they supported us to set up the system and with the ongoing running and system configuration. Once we had everything in place I was impressed with how quickly they got us up and running
We have had a really good experience of using iaptus so far. The system is easy to use and allows us to easily book in appointments and record assessment notes. It is also easily editable so we can make all lists and templates work for us as needed.
I have to say that iaptus has been amazing so far, I don’t know how we coped before it. There’s just so much more clarity on what we’re doing and the impact that we are having.
Switching to iaptus has allowed us to make some great changes. We no longer use paper based records and each clinician has a proper online diary. The system is fully secure and there is no risk of our database not backing up or saving properly. We are saving valuable admin time with there being less dependency on a few individuals within the team
We had many years of quite poor solutions. From holding full paper records only, to excel, and eventually an MS Access database. It became evident that we needed a proper solution. Switching to iaptus was able to make the service more clinically safe, whilst also improving service efficiencies.
I still think it’s the best system I have ever used.
iaptus is helping us to manage referrals and support with data collection ensuring we are NHS digital compliant across our NHS commissioned projects. iaptus also supports our therapists and staff with uniformed working across multiple locations and services.
The National Reporting Tool feature has saved me days of work. It's simple and easy to use. Absolutely love it.
Everyone is very grateful to have GP Electronic Letters making people's life so much easier. The team has expressed their gratitude for getting this off the ground. It is so much faster for everyone.
it's great that patients can directly book appointments that suit them, it gives control back to them and speeds up the process. I have tried it out and found it really easy and clear from a patient perspective, and from a clinical lead perspective the whole process was very easy to set up – you’ve all been very helpful.
Overall, online appointment booking has made a huge difference to the running of our service and created a streamlined experience for our patients. 95% of our clients give consent for texts, allowing us to use online booking, thus reducing our administrators workload in this particular area by 95% and allowing them time to focus on other tasks.
I’ve worked with Mayden since commissioning the development of iaptus in 2006 and have found they share our passion to give our patients outstanding care through their digital solutions. Their willingness to innovate to give patients and staff a great digital experience gives me reason to strongly recommend them as a strategic technical partner.
The flexibility of the iaptus system, with its highly customisable user-friendly features and ease of access to Mayden's Support team, has been invaluable to Westminster Talking Therapies service delivery and efficiency. The ability to customise the system to local requirements has conferred significant benefits, ranging from efficient clinical communication and appointment-booking systems through to data collection for bespoke audit and evaluation purposes.
Mayden staff are considerate and responsive. They have demonstrated flexibility and efficiency in meeting our precise requirements – a truly professional organisation.
Online appointment booking has been a great success in our service. This feature enables our patients to seamlessly refer themselves online, and they can receive a link to book their first appointment on the same day, without having to speak to any staff. The feature was quick and easy to setup, and is very simple for staff to use. It’s come just at the right time for the service, as we’re seeing record numbers of referrals. It’s saved a massive amount of time trying to contact patients by phone, and means that the team have more time to focus on other tasks that need their attention. We’re looking forward to trying the feature in other parts of the service, to see how it can save us more time and continue to improve patients experience.
The system is clinician-friendly and outcomes focussed.
Mayden is a professional but friendly company that responds in a ‘We can do it, or we will work on it and get back to you’ way and they DO. Staff are always helpful, knowledgeable and responsive to issues and questions raised – and give an individualised service to support our Talking Therapies service delivery
We have noticed a marked reduction in admin time spent per patient. That frees our staff up to spend time on other things, resulting in better, more efficient care for our patients. We’ve also been really pleased with how simple the feature is to use – it’s been a very straight forward addition to our existing workflow.
The experience of working with Mayden has been extremely positive. They provide excellent support and have always been very happy to work alongside us to ensure that iaptus develops in a way that meets the needs of our service.
