Jenna is Mayden’s Customer Support Manager and Feature Owner for development requests and bugs. At this year’s iaptus user conference, she introduced a new mechanism for development requests.
At present, we receive 25 to 30 development requests each month – that’s about 360 per year! When we receive these requests, they tend to come within the context of the requesting customer’s specific needs. It’s difficult for us then to know whether this request that would be helpful to just one customer, or to many of our users. We want to gain a wider view of the demand for requests to help us to make the right decisions about the work we should prioritise.
iaptus innovations will be a simple online mechanism allowing users to make development requests and to vote on others’ suggestions. It is a space where the IAPT community can come together to discuss common problems, share best practice, and to work together to find solutions. It will help us to understand the context and the demand for specific updates and features.
Please get in touch with your comments and suggestions by the end of this month – we’re keen to hear your feedback about the idea and the way it works.
