The IAPT and eHealth Summit

by Becky - 2nd September 2016

Registration is now open for the second annual IAPT and eHealth Summit, taking place on Tuesday, 15 November 2016 at Tech UK in central London. The event brings together IAPT service providers, commissioners and digital health experts to drive the future of digital health in IAPT.

Digital technologies have the potential to transform the way we deliver healthcare services. Opportunities include everything from the digitisation of administrative processes, to delivering care online.

There is growing evidence that using digital interventions to treat common mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety can achieve equal – even improved – recovery rates for some patients. The potential to increase access, reduce costs, and improve productivity whilst also increasing patient choice means that the case for digital is compelling, and as such, the adoption of digital is rapidly picking up pace.

Making use of digital interventions was one of the recommendations made by the Five Year Forward View for all mental health services, and more close to home, it has been cited as a “next step” IAPT by the national team.

At the IAPT and eHealth summit, we will be sharing examples of how digital interventions are being used by mental health services across the country, and the impact that this is having on both patients and services. We will also be considering the growing evidence supporting the use of digital and at how digital interventions can be adopted and integrated effectively within services.

A full agenda will be released shortly, and in the coming weeks we’ll be sharing blogs from speakers at the summit. Book your free place at the IAPT and eHealth summit.
