Together with the British Psychological Society, the New Savoy Partnership recently released their second Staff Wellbeing Survey, exploring whether progress has been made since their first survey in 2015. Take part in the 2017 survey here.
The impact of targets on staff wellbeing in psychological services is a matter of growing concern which has been recognised by NHS England. In 2015, the survey of over 1300 psychological staff within the NHS uncovered concerning levels of depression and stress, and increased incidents of bullying and harassment. Read more about the results here.
Two other initiatives have been also been launched by the partners to promote the importance of workforce wellbeing: a Staff Wellbeing & Resilience Charter and Collaborative Learning Network (CLAN). The group will meet with Claire Murdoch, Director of Mental Health at NHS England, to discuss how the concerns that staff have been raising through the annual survey and via the Collaborative Learning Network can be addressed.
If you are interested in joining the learning network, please get in touch for more details. Survey results will be presented at the 10th New Savoy Conference for Psychological Therapies in London, March 15th & 16th 2017 as well as being published.
