The Path to Recovery: Young People and Mental Health

by Louisa - 17th April 2023

young people and mental health

Charities, NHS Trusts and other providers of mental health support to children and young people will come together in Manchester for Open Forum’s “Path to Recovery” event on 27th April 2023. Mayden are honoured, once again, to be headline sponsors of Open Forum’s Children and Young People’s Mental Health (CYPMH) conference series.

Join us, and like-minded peers, to explore how mental health service providers can be better equipped to provide the necessary support to such a high number of children and young people struggling with their mental health.

10:30am – Dr. Jo Ellins will present the key findings in NIHR BRACE’s evaluation of “Early Experiences of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in Schools and Colleges

Alongside an informative lineup of speakers, you’ll hear from Dr. Jo Ellins, Senior Fellow and Head of Research, Health Services Management Centre at the University of Birmingham and Deputy Director at NIHR BRACE Rapid Evaluation Centre.

MHSTs directly support children and young people with ‘mild to moderate’ mental health problems and work with school and college staff to promote wellbeing for all. The NIHR BRACE Rapid Evaluation Centre led an early evaluation of the implementation and progress of MHSTs in the first 25 ‘Trailblazer’ sites. The evaluation draws out key findings and lessons for future programme implementation and expansion.

Dr Jo Ellins will be at the Mayden stand throughout the day. Join us in the networking area to chat to her and to grab a copy of the report.
